"The Gosdin Brothers."







Probably, in case of being the first work that this gets out of their bluegrass career, I think. Clarence played with them in their early sessions days, if Clarence played with them on this recordings, it's the most early recordings of Clarence's electric guitar play.
The sounds of "Love at first sight" is almost same as "Preflyte" Byrds's sounds ( "Preflyte" was produced by Jim Dickson ) .
On the liner-notes ( by Jim Bickhart ) of Gene Clark's album "Early L.A. Sessions" ( original recorded in 1966) explain ; ・・・To record his album, Gene put together a crew of musicians prophetic in its compostion.
First came the Gosdin Brothers and Clarence White.
"The Byrds and the Gosdins had the same management, so we had been doing a lot of concerts together,especially in California.
Clarence was playing guitar for them, and their act was kind of country, just country enough for what I wanted to do, and Clarence came along with them.
We worked out the basic arrangements for most of the songs, ・・・
